Mrs Jo Stenning
I qualified as a registered general nurse in 1986 at Frimley Park Hospital. I qualified as a midwife in 1990 at Wycombe Hospital. I have worked as a practice nurse since 1999 in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire and in 2012 qualified as a Specialist Community Practitioner Nurse (HV) and I worked as a Health Visitor until 2016 when I returned to Practice Nursing.
I have interests and expertise in Asthma and COPD, Children's routine Immunisations, Travel Vaccinations, Women's screening tests, wound care.
I have experience with ear assessment and care, minor illness management.
As a result of my health visiting training and experience in general practice I have an interest in supporting young people with mental health difficulties and believe in a non-judgemental listening approach in developing a therapeutic relationship to help with both clinical and emotional support. In addition to being based at 28 Beaumont Street I also hold clinics during term time at Hertford College for students based there.
