New Evening and Weekend GP Clinic appointments

For routine and non-urgent care you can now see a NHS GP, Nurse or other Health Care professional in the evening and at weekends at an OxFed clinic located at three locations around Oxford in Botley, Cowley and Summertown.  Appointments must be booked through our Reception Team who can advise if this would be suitable for you.  For more information about opening times and clinic locations across Oxford please see the OxFed website (



Repeat prescriptions

Requesting via Online Patient Access

This is our preferred method as the on line form encourages you to enter the description of your medication in a way which can be understood clearly by our prescription staff.  This minimises the risk of errors. An added benefit of patient access is that the prescribing doctor can communicate to you if need be about your prescription.

Please try  to copy the name of your medication exactly as it appears on your prescription and to clearly specify the amount of medication you require for each request. To start ordering medications online, please fill in the prescription request form to be found here

In Writing

Post your request to 28 Beaumont Street, Oxford, OX1 2NP, including a stamped addressed envelope if you want your prescription returned to you. 

Please make it clear whether or not you wish us to to send the prescription via EPS to your nominated pharmacy or for us to keep the prescription for you to collect from the practice reception.

Remember to include your name, address, date of birth, contact number, and name, quantity and dose of each drug on your prescription request. Ideally enclose a copy of your white repeat prescription summary which allows you to mark which medications you require. 

At The Practice

The right-hand (white) part of your prescription lists your details and your regular medication - simply tick which medications you require and drop it into the box on the reception desk.


We wish to inform patients that from 1st February 2017 we will no longer be accepting telephone requests for repeat prescriptions.  If you have any concerns about this please speak to the reception team who will explain the other methods of requesting a prescription.
