CQC and patient feedback

28 Beaumont Street Practice is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The CQC defines a range of essential standards which practices are expected to meet in order to be recognised as offering care which is safe and of high quality. The CQC is very interested in the patient's experience of care at a practice.

In October 2013 the practice underwent a formal CQC inspection. We were one of the first practices in Oxfordshire to experience this newly introduced process. The experience was one of a thorough checking of our premises and the procedures we follow covering a wide range of topics including clinical care, communication with patients, equal opportunity policies, safeguarding and infection control. Patients were interviewed as part of this process.

We have since received a very positive report in which we were complimented on an number of areas including clinical care of patients, cleanliness, good staffing procedures and patient feedback.  This is a great achievement and we are proud of all our staff for ensuring that we continue to meet the standards set by the CQC.

There is a mechanism whereby you can register feedback, whether positive or negative, on the CQC website.
