Insurance Reports

People applying for life or critical illness insurance may be required by their insurer to obtain a medical report, and may also be asked to attend for a medical examination. As insurance reports are not covered by the NHS, there is a fee for this service. Call us on 01865 311811 for more details.

DVLA medicals

People applying for a public vehicle or HGV licence may be requested by the DVLA to see a doctor for a medical examination. Please inform the receptionist that the appointment is for a medical as a longer appointment time is required. As DVLA medicals are not covered by the NHS, there is a fee for this service - call 01865 311811 for more details.

Private medical care

People who are not entitled to NHS treatment are welcome to book an appointment to see a doctor at the practice. For details of our fees and charges, please phone us on 01865 311811.

Cost of treatment

For non-NHS services. Vaccination costs listed below are for travel or any other non-NHS-Claimable reason; if patients need vaccinations for work, including work abroad, this should be available free.

Visitors wishing to register must have proff of residency exceeding 6 months from the the date of registration. If unable to funish proof, patient will be treated as a privet patient. Patients able to furnish E111 or E112 Forms qualify as Temporary patients.

Travel vaccination
All Travel Vaccinations are avaialble privately at the Manor Hospital, Beech Road, Headington as well as the other Clinics. Vaccinations for Yellow Fever are available only at the Yellow Fever Centre. Vaccinations for Japanese Encephalitis are not available at this surgery; at the Manor Hospital they cost £137.25 for a course of 3 vaccinations (price as of 21/04/05) to book call 01865 307632.
Gardsil (cervical Cancer vaccine) - currently (Jan 07) available at Marie Stropes london for £450. Will become increasingly available.
