How to order your Repeat Prescriptions

You can request a repeat prescription of your regular medication without having to make an appointment with a doctor. This can be done in several ways:

Request Prescriptions Online
You can request your repeat prescription 24 hours a day through our online facility EMIS Access. It is fast and simple to use as you will be able to view a list of your regular medication and select what you need rather than having to write it out yourself!

Requests sent through EMIS Access are more secure than normal email as they are encrypted. EMIS Access also allows you to book or cancel appointments online and change your contact details.

Start using EMIS Access

By Email
You can e-mail your request to: prescriptions@gp-k84080.nhs.uk
Please make sure you include your name, address, date of birth, a contact number and the name, dose (strength), and quantity of each medication you require.

Please be aware that  normal email is not encrypted and so may not be totally secure. For increased security we advise patients to submit prescription requests  through EMIS Access

In the Practice
The right-hand (white) part of your prescription lists your details and your regular medication - simply tick which medications you require and drop it into the box on the Reception desk.

In Writing
You can post your medication request to us at 28 Beaumont Street, Oxford, OX1 2NP. If you would like your new prescription posted back to you, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope. Alternatively, your prescription can be stored in Reception until you are able to collect it, or forwarded to your pharmacy.

Please make sure you include your name, address, date of birth, a contact number and the name, dose (strength), and quantity of each medication you require.

Pharmacy delivery
You may arrange for your pharmacist to collect your prescription on your behalf and deliver your medication to you directly. You must contact your pharmacy to arrange this service. Please let us know when requesting your prescription if you would like it sent directly to your pharmacy.

Please allow a full working day for your prescription to be processed.
Requests received on Friday will be ready for collection on Tuesday morning.

Please note that repeat prescriptions can only be issued if the details given are accurate and complete and the medication requested has been previously authorised by a doctor. From time to time, you may be asked to arrange an appointment with a doctor to review your medication.
