How to order your Repeat Prescriptions You can request a repeat
prescription of your regular medication without having to make an appointment with a doctor. This can be done in several ways:
Request Prescriptions Online You can request your repeat prescription 24 hours a day through our online
facility EMIS Access. It is fast and simple to use as you will be able to view a list of your regular medication and select what you need rather than having to write it out yourself! Requests sent through EMIS Access
are more secure than normal email as they are encrypted. EMIS Access also allows you to book or cancel appointments online and change your contact details. Start using EMIS Access By Email You can e-mail your request to: prescriptions@gp-k84080.nhs.uk Please make sure you include your
name, address, date of birth, a contact number and the name, dose (strength), and quantity of each medication you require.Please be aware that normal email is not encrypted and so may not be totally secure. For
increased security we advise patients to submit prescription requests through EMIS Access
In the Practice The right-hand (white) part of your prescription lists your details and your regular medication - simply tick which medications you require and drop it into the box on the
Reception desk. In Writing
You can post your medication request to us at 28 Beaumont Street, Oxford, OX1 2NP. If you would like your new prescription posted back to you, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope. Alternatively, your
prescription can be stored in Reception until you are able to collect it, or forwarded to your pharmacy.Please make sure you include your name, address, date of birth, a contact number and the name, dose (strength),
and quantity of each medication you require. Pharmacy delivery You may arrange for your pharmacist to collect your prescription on your behalf and deliver your medication to you directly. You must contact your pharmacy to arrange this
service. Please let us know when requesting your prescription if you would like it sent directly to your pharmacy.
Please allow a full working day for your prescription to be processed.
Requests received on Friday will be ready for collection on Tuesday morning.Please note that repeat prescriptions can only be issued if the details given are accurate and complete
and the medication requested has been previously authorised by a doctor. From time to time, you may be asked to arrange an appointment with a doctor to review your medication. Next page |
